How to sell more motorbikes: a guide for dealerships
October 9, 2026 · by Portal Hero · 8 min read
A guide for motorbike dealerships and traders in Spain: where to list (Wallapop Pro Motos, Motos.net, Milanuncios) and how to take every lead to the sale.
Saturday, ten in the morning. Three people ask about the same Yamaha MT-07: one on Wallapop, one on Motos.net and one on WhatsApp. The first wants to know if you offer finance, the second whether you'll take their bike in part-exchange, and the third just asks if it's still available. By Monday the bike has gone, and nearly always to whoever got a reply first.
Listing a bike is the easy part. Sales are won or lost afterwards: in how fast you reply, how you follow up each prospect and whether any of them gets forgotten in a chat. And buyers are spread across more and more places: according to Google Trends, over the last five years interest in Spain in the search ‘milanuncios motos’ has fallen to less than a third and, among the people searching for it, ‘wallapop motos’ is one of the fastest-growing searches.
This guide is for motorbike dealerships and used-bike traders in Spain: where to list, what Wallapop Pro Motos offers and, above all, how to handle your leads so you sell more.
Where motorbike buyers are looking today
A motorbike dealership in Spain has at least four online shop windows:
- Motos.net, the specialist marketplace, where buyers turn up knowing what they want. If you run a dealership or sell more than two bikes a year, Motos.net requires you to list from a professional account.
- Wallapop, Spain's big second-hand marketplace, increasingly used to find a bike and with subscriptions for professionals.
- Milanuncios, Spain's long-standing classifieds site, with its own option for professionals.
- Your own website, where nobody else is competing on the same screen and buyers see all your stock.
Each marketplace brings a different buyer, so it pays to be on all of them with the same stock and the same price. With Portal Hero you add the bike once and it's published everywhere; when you reserve or sell it, it updates everywhere. The step-by-step method is in our guide on how to list motorbikes on several marketplaces at once.
Wallapop Pro Motos: plans and what's included
On Wallapop, any account can have up to two motorbikes for sale for free. To have more listed at once you need a Wallapop Pro Motos subscription, with plans by number of motorbikes, up to 200, and a monthly fee.
On top of the higher limit, the subscription adds what a dealership needs on Wallapop:
- A professional profile with the Pro badge, cover photo, address, opening hours, phone number and website.
- Listings that don't expire, so there's no need to reactivate them.
- Featured listing packs by city or for the whole of Spain.
Choose a plan with some headroom: listings over the limit become inactive. And if you sell helmets, riding gear or parts, those go under a different subscription, Wallapop Pro Motor y accesorios. If what you want is to connect your whole catalogue to Wallapop, we explain how in this guide to the Wallapop integration.
How to write a motorbike listing that sells
The more questions the listing answers, the better the leads who get in touch. A good motorbike listing includes make, model, year, mileage and whether it's suitable for the A2 licence; condition, service history and ITV (Spain's roadworthiness test, the equivalent of the MOT); your own photos of that specific bike; the price with the monthly finance payment; and what sets you apart from a private seller: warranty, transfer of ownership included and whether you take part-exchanges.

With motorbikes, almost every sale starts with a message: ‘is it still available?’, ‘do you offer finance?’, ‘will you take my bike in part-exchange?’, ‘can I come and see it on Saturday?’. Whoever replies in minutes with specific details gets the visit; whoever takes hours finds out the buyer has already found another bike.
The problem is what it takes to reply like that. Those messages come in through Wallapop, Motos.net, Milanuncios and WhatsApp, at any time of day, and most of them ask the same things: whether the bike is still available, how many miles it has done, whether finance is possible, where the dealership is. Every minute a salesperson spends answering what the listing already says is a minute not spent showing a bike, calling a hot lead or closing a deal. And at night or at the weekend, when many buyers browse bikes at their leisure, nobody answers.
That's what a well-built chatbot is for. It doesn't replace the salesperson: it takes the repetitive questions off their plate so they can spend their time selling.
- It replies instantly, day and night, with the real details of each bike: availability, price, mileage, finance and warranty.
- It suggests a visit and asks for a phone number or WhatsApp when the interest is serious.
- It only passes the salesperson what needs a person: a valuation, a negotiation, a reservation.
- It hands over every lead already qualified, so the salesperson starts the conversation knowing which bike they want and how they plan to pay.
In Portal Hero, messages from every marketplace and from WhatsApp land in a single inbox and the assistant knows your stock: it replies with the specific bike and its real price, even at night, and every prospect arrives tagged with the model, budget, urgency and whether they're asking for finance or a part-exchange. The team stops answering the same old questions and focuses on the conversations that end in a sale.

Is the MT-07 still available? Take my Z650 as part-exchange?
Yes. We value your Z650 at the visit; does Saturday at 11 work?
Great, Saturday then.
From chat to sale: WhatsApp, calls and CRM
A lead isn't a sale. Between the first message and the signature there's a valuation, a finance offer, a visit and several calls, and in a dealership with several salespeople it's easy for someone to fall through the cracks. If everything lives in each salesperson's head and on the dealership's mobile, sales are lost to forgetfulness and nobody knows why.
Two habits that keep that journey on track:
- Move to WhatsApp as soon as the interest is real, with templates for the first contact, the visit reminder and the follow-up, so no prospect goes cold waiting for a reply.
- A CRM for motorbikes where every prospect has their bike, their channel, their stage and their next step, and where leads are assigned automatically by salesperson or site, with no squabbling over who takes them.
And what dealership owners value most: seeing the business in numbers. The CRM's KPIs tell you how many buyers come from each marketplace, how many move to a reservation and how many end in a sale, which salesperson converts best and which models pull most. You stop deciding on gut feeling: you know which marketplace to invest in, which Wallapop plan pays off and where sales slip away.
In the Portal Hero CRM, calls are recorded and transcribed, and the opportunity record fills itself in with what was discussed: visit, finance, part-exchange. The salesperson doesn't waste time taking notes and the sales manager can see where every deal stands without having to ask. The dashboard shows conversion by channel, by salesperson and by model.

Call recordingFrequently asked questions
How many motorbikes can I list on Wallapop?
Two at a time with a standard account. With Wallapop Pro Motos, as many as your plan allows, up to 200 motorbikes listed at once.
How do you list a motorbike on Wallapop?
From the app or the website, with the button to upload a product: you choose the Motos category, fill in make, model, year and mileage, and add the photos and the price. With more than two bikes for sale at once you need Wallapop Pro Motos, and with lots of them, the practical option is to publish them from your catalogue.
Do I need a professional account to sell motorbikes on Motos.net?
Yes, if you run a dealership or sell more than two bikes a year. Motos.net requires you to list from a professional account.
What is a chatbot for in a motorbike dealership?
To answer straight away what everyone asks (availability, price, finance, visits), even out of hours, and to pass on to the salesperson only the prospects who are ready to buy. The team gets back the time it spent on repetitive questions and puts it into selling.
Does a chatbot replace the salesperson?
No. It handles the questions that keep coming up and makes sure nobody is left without a reply; the valuation, the negotiation and the close are still the salesperson's job, and they come to every conversation with the lead already qualified.
What CRM does a motorbike dealership need?
One that receives leads from every marketplace and WhatsApp with the motorbike they want, follows each opportunity through to delivery and gives you conversion KPIs by channel, salesperson and model, so you know what brings in your sales.
In summary
To sell more motorbikes you need to be on the marketplaces where buyers are looking, with listings that answer their questions, but above all you need to handle demand well: reply in minutes, let a chatbot take the repetitive questions so the team can focus on selling, take every prospect from the chat to the visit and lose none of them along the way.
Portal Hero publishes the bikes of motorbike dealerships and traders on Wallapop, Motos.net, Milanuncios and their own website from a single catalogue, and brings every prospect into one inbox with a chatbot and a CRM with WhatsApp. Take a look at our solution for motorbike dealerships or tell us how you work.
